Hanauma Bay, Hawaii

I love the weekends and cannot wait to go snorkeling! One of my favorite places is Hanauma Bay.

Upon entering the park, there's a small fee of $5.00 for non-residents. Residents can get in for free with a picture I.D.

There's a safety video that everyone must watch prior to snorkeling or swimming in Hanauma Bay. It promotes education about marine life and how to protect the sanctuary.

Hanauma Bay is a nature preserve. There are coral reefs at Hanauma Bay that must be protected and preserved. Be careful when snorkeling and swimming. Please, do not step on the coral reef!

The water at Hanauma Bay looks extremely deep, but there are many shallow areas where fish can be seen.

Snorkeling gear can be rented at Hanauma Bay and there are information booths to provide you with assistance. There are life guards at Hanuama Bay too, making it one of the most family-friendly places to snorkel and swim.

Koko Head crater can be seen from Hanauma Bay.
