The Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.

The Lincoln Memorial was constructed in dedication to Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.  President Lincoln's most famous speeches are inscribed on the walls, while the large statue of the President signifies his compassion and determination, according to Tanya Lloyd, author of Washington D.C.

The photo below is one that I captured recently, while visiting Washington D.C.  It was icy cold outside.

While walking towards the Lincoln Memorial, I noticed a couple in awe of a squirrel.

Out of all of the sights in Washington D.C., one of my favorites is the Lincoln Memorial.
